Very nice Doom metal with slow soft and beautiful riffs by guitar , cello
and piano. There are two different vocalists in this sevenpice originated
from Norway, one female soprano that's very talented and a growling male
deathy voice which reminds a lot of the old Paradise Lost vocals. The
music is of the highest quality on all fronts and is more beautiful and
sad then dark and evil, but I think it is a great counterpart for the
usual B.M. that other times is played on my stereo. Personally I think
that
this is the best Doom album of 1995 but some people don't like it that
much, so if you're uncertain I think you should try to listen to it
first.

Velvet Darkness They Fear
Aaaaaahhh!!! This is the perfect album... I have never heard anything as
marvelous as this. The perfect shade between the beautiful female vocals
and the male, both growling and normal, are just awesome. The material is
among the best i've ever heard and the production is splendid. This is
much in the same vain as their selftitled debut, but it's even better in
all ways. I rank this album as one of my absolute favourites of all time.
Just put it on, sit back and enjoy.

A Rose for the Dead MCD
A little softer melodies and more easy listened then their two full
length albums. I don't think that the new material is quite as good as
their earlier stuff. This feels more like it's the songs that wasn't good
enought to fit the album, but the english version of "Der Tanz Der
Schatten" is marvelous, especially the new keyboards and the little
different mixing. I must warn all of you out there that this MCD contains
two remixes made by some guy in "Das Ich" and belive me, they are VERY
different. They aren't good either. You can't make a techno version of
T.O.T. music and come up with a good result. Perhaps a unplugged version
would be a good idea, but not industrialized ones. I have never heard Das
Ich, but if they sound like this, they suck. On the other hand, if you
like Das Ich then this might be something for you? Finally the last song
is a cover of an old punk band (but I bet you can't tell that from just
hearing it). It's different from T.O.T.'s usual stuff, but it's still
good. Unforunatly is Liv's fantastic vocals not used here. It's over 32min
long and if you count out those remixes it's still 22+ min so it's still
worth the money.
