Sorhin
Skogsgrieftens Rike MCD
High quality classical northern B.M. It's not very original but well
performed with good material and good production. I know many who rate
this band as one of the best, but I don't quite agree. It's too
standard. With some originality this could easily be one of the best,
as I feel great potential here. Hopefully we will have that in their
fourth coming debut album. A better layout and a original cover
wouldn't hurt either. 18 min. of unoriginal, but very good black metal
is what you get.

I det Glimmende Mörkrets Djup
The first fullength album from swedens perhaps grimmest band is finally
out. I liked the MCD, but there was plenty of room for improvement. This
album is much like the MCD, which means fast music much like Immortal, and
lyrics in Swedish. The production is better and when the recording is done
in the Abyss studio, this is the least you could expect. The music is
nothing I haven't heard before, but it's still good stuff with a very grim
atmosphere. The lyrics anr much like Immortals, but more satanic. if one
isn't totally into this extreme style it can be tough to listen to it all
at once even if it's average playing time. All songs are new except for
the title track from the MCD, so if you're into this extreme type of
music, you will problebly love this.
