Worship Him

Very brutal and evil B.M. from Switzerland is what this CD gives us. This
music is very interesting and original and it shows very great potential
of a newcoming band. The layout and production is not what you might be
used to and the sound isn't very good either, but since it is Osmose's
first produced CD so can you accept some poor quality. Other then that is
this a very good album with very good riffs and material (some of the
songs may not be played in their best speed but they are good). This album
is now available as a double together with Blood Ritual for the same price
as a ordinary CD which makes it a really great bargain.

Blood Ritual

They have really changed their style on this album, it's much heavier and
slower. As the first one is, this is also very well played with equally
good or perhaps even better material, but in this case it is very well
produced and the layout is good. The vocals are more normal and it's more
easy to hear what he is singing. I like this album just as much as the
first but it is hard to believe that it is the same band, they sound so
different. This is much more original though and definitely worth
checking out.

Ceremony of Oppocites
So they have changed style again, this time not as much as the last time
but it's quite a difference. The music is more brutal and powerful then
on Blood Ritual. It has very high quality on all levels and I believe that
this can be the best album from Europe of 1994 (Scandinavia is not a part
of Europe in my opinion). The material is fucking best and I love it.
This album should be in every man's home.

Rebellion EP.

It seems that Samael finally may have found their style. This sounds a lot
like Ceremony of Oppocites but if is perhaps a not quite as brutal. The
EP. features a new song and two new versions of old material from the
first two albums. They are very different from the original and even
better then them. You also get an cover version of the old Alice Cooper
song "I Love the Dead" which is very different. with the two all
instrumental keyboard tracks is this EP. almost 35 min. long.

Passage
Guess what!! They have changed style! No kidding, I'll bet you all figured
that out, right? This time they've gone into the industrialized metal
stuff. Usually I'm not to keen about this kind of music, but this is
really good. The music is like a mixture between the keyboard tracks on
"Rebellion" ans the cover song "I Love the Dead" from the same album. The
vocals are both the normal you can hear on that Alice Cooper cover and the
usual deathy from "Ceremony of Oppocites". This is a very majestetic
album with several good riffs and great songs. I'm still amazed by how
much Samael changes style and still keeps the same high musical quality
with every album. This album features as you know much keyboards and sound
fx and they even uses a drum machine instead of a drummer. I don't know
why but it sounds very good most of the time, although you can hear it's a
drum machine (They can of course have runned the drums through a computer
to get this sound on purpose which I've heard other bands do before). This
must be one of the most original albums I've heard in the trash genre (I'd
like to call this Industrialized Trash Metal), but still it's a great
album which you either love or hate.

Exodus EP.
This is the spiritual follower to Passage. The change in style isn't as
great as usual. It's a bit more techno then Passage, but there's still
plenty of great guitar fuzz and power. I think it's sad that they use a
drum machine nowadays as the drums on "Ceremony…" has more power. But this
is still one of the best drum machines I've heard. This album contains 2
new recordings of "Ceremony…" songs and 4 new tracks plus the same outro
as we heard on "Rebellion". Almost 29 min. is long for a MCD.
