Oxiplegatz
Worlds and Worlds
This is some of the most original death metal I’ve ever heard, or in any
genre of music too for that matter. Complexed and technical, but nothing
like Alf’s old band At the Gates. This is his 2nd release from this one
man band of his. The key word here is futuristic. I guess that the best
way to describe it is Scifi Death metal (Oh no I just invented a new
category!) far beyond the realms of what Nocturnus made. Lots and lots of
keyboards, F/x’s and some normal and some female vocals together with the
grimmer ones. It seems that most extreme metal fans and fans of the old At
the Gates like this very much, but I can easily understand if someone
doesn’t, so I strongly recommend that you try to listen to this first. The
production is OK and the cover and layout is the most original thing I’ve
seen on a death metal album.
