Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism

This is Immortals debut, it's not a top of the line album but it gave you
the direction of what was to come. I think just a few of the songs have
good material ("The Call of the Wintermoon" and "A Perfect Vision of
the Rising Northland" which is great). Abbath and Demonaz wasn't the
musicians they are today either. Over all this is an OK'ish release, but
since Immortal is one of the all time greats this is a must album.

Pure Holocaust

This album is a different story. It's wild, raw and completely
uncomprimized. I would like to gratulate Abbath and Demonaz who succeeded
to make this supreme album. If you don't have this one - get it right
away! I don't have any bad critic to say about it.

Battles in the North

So finally it came... Immortals long awaited follower to Pure Holocaust.
Unfortunately I might have had to high expectations on this one. It's not
as
good as the last one. What I think is worst with this release is the bad
sound, it seems like the Doom Occulta bros. has hanged around Darkthrone
and Bathory too much the past year. That is to bad because in past years
you always knew they had good sound. I hope this trend doesn't hang
around until their next one. One cool thing though... Abbath and Demonaz
has decided to do a video on one of the tracks, which one I don't know
but I hope it's out now.

Live at Zaandam
A live album with Immortal! This I must have, but WAIT! I don't know if
this is a bootleg or a genuin Immortal release. Anyway I have only heard
it briefly but it was enough. I DO NOT like this. The sound is so shitty
you need tipi for it. It's nothing to throw money on in my opinion. Sure
almost all their best tracks are featured, but since you can't hear the
differance it's meaningless.

Blizzard Beasts
I, and I guess many fans, have waited a long time for this album. It's
fast, fast, fast... A brutal intro explodes into a brutal and blizztering
fast song in the typical Immortal manner. It all sounds much like "Battles
in the North", but the riffs are more complexed and technical. This was
ment to be played loud and kick ass! The speed and brutality is without
competition, but is it good? The lyrics are in the typical Immortal style
also, soo it's really nothing new. It's to complexed sometimes and they
try so hard to be even faster and even more brutal then before, but is it
a success? Only you can decide that for your self. In my opinion is this
the weakest studio album from the Immortal horde. And when you consider
the total playing time of only 28:56, one might even think if it was worth
the money. OK it's not that bad, but I had expected more eventhough
several songs are truly great. Personally a little thing like better
production easily would have raised it to a higher grade.
