Grotesque MCD
Incantation
This is one of the early classics within the Swedish Death scene, so I
didn't expect much from it. Usually these albums are first with
something, but is then surpassed by someone else and only apreciated
by the ones who were there. Here we have a big exception though. I
belive that this band turned into At The Gates later but several
members went their own way. The sound is dark and doomy with lots of
originality even today. The production isn't very good and I'm not
sure if this is a demo or not (it sounds like a well produced demo).
It's recorded in early '90 and still stands out originality and
quality. very good songs, extreme vocals and a cool atmosphere. The
performance isn't the best as it sounds untight, but that just adds to
the feeling. 5 songs and 30 min is a long MCD/MLP
