Golden Dawn
The Art of Dreaming
I have heard much positive about this band so I had high expectations. It
starts like a ordinary Metal album but then keyboards becomes a very
important part of the music. The vocals are some of the better grim ones
I've heard with alot of female choirs and male operatic ones. The music is
best described as a mixture between Summoning and Pazuzu and I guess that
this Austrian solo project has some connections with the A.B.M.S.
(does it still exist?) This becomes less and less metal and it gets hard
to describe. Much of it is more beautiful then evil. All I can say is that
it's some of the best ritualic keyboard
based music I've heard. Perhaps Jean Michele Jarre (you know Oxygen?)
have been a big influence. It's all very well performed and well produced
so all in all it's one of the most original and interesting albums I have.
