Gehennah

Hardrocker

This album has recived the highest recommendations inmost 'zines and mags, so I had high expectations. The music is great oldstyle Black Trash Metal with inspiration from bands like Venom and Destruction. The riffs are mostly brilliant and kick ass! The lyrics are great fun with titles like "Say hello to Mr Fist" or "Piss off, I'm drinking". Yes, this is truly a great album, perfect at the party, but I can't swollow the vocals. They are too deathy to suit this style I think, they are much better on the last track I think. But I guess one might learn to like them after a while. Otherwice it's a fucking brilliant album. I love the band photos and the bad ass attitude of the whole band. One sad thing is that it's easy to play this album too much and get bored by it.

King of The Sidewalk

I have waited a long time to get this album, but it was always sold out or something else came inbetween. After reading a couple of other reviews I wasn't surprised when I finally heard it. It's all very much Motörhead with a doze of Venom. Straight to the bone, kick-ass Metal with a capital "M". It's not very original, as you might understand, but this band is all about kicking ass and having fun, drinking beer and beating up discofreaks. The lyrics are even better then on Hardrocker and they contain more violence. The vocals are better aswell in my opinion. But to be honest so is the debut better eventhough I love this Motörhead sound. The debut is more original and can be played alot more. I don't quite get the idea of doing a Elvis cover, sure he's the king of Rock'n'Roll, but this song is NOT my favourite. Still I recon this to be THE party album of all time, beaten perhaps only by "Hardrocker".

Decibel Rebel

This wasn't a big surprise for me and I'm surprised if ANYONE is. It's the same punk metal music kind of Motörhead rip-off as always. The lyrics are even worse, but I think you get the picture. This is party music for headbangers, but one can easily get too much of it so I suggest that you play it with ease. Cool music that brings the good ol' 80's back with humor and intensity. The best words to describe this music are simply "Kick Ass Metal".
