Gates of Ishtar
The Dawn of Flames
A nice soft and well performed intro which doesn't give away anything
about the album beside perhaps a great production. The rest of the music
is midtempo Black/Death metal like on their debut album (reviewed soon).
It's more original and has much better material and production though.
Nice original keyboard work lifts the music and the very nice cover and
layout also makes it fit nicely on the CD-wall. The music isn't very
extreme in any way, it's one of the most easy to listen to B.M. albums
I've got. Still it's good and it shows interesting development in the
band. This was the last album to be recorded in the legendary Unisound
studio (?).

At Dusk And Forever
There have been some radical changes in this Swedish B.M. band. The
critics have been very good so I decided to check it out. It's still very
much the same band in my opinion. They have become faster and tighter as a
band, but the style is the same so you will hear that it's them.
The material is overall a bit better aswell, but I'm still not totally
convinced. But it seems as this is one of those albums one have to hear a
few times before it gets really good, but it's a bit short with only 35
min.
