Falkenbach

...en their medh riki fara...

Primitive and raw viking metal with heavy use of keyboards and very good riffs. The production isn't what it could have been, but it's still OK. The keyboard work is great. The second and the last track has both got some strange sounding chanting vocals. They are monotonous and can be annoying for some, but I like them, very original. It's a very interesting and good sound with viking feeling to it. Basically I would call it something like symphonic viking metal or keyboard based viking metal. OK they are not THAT dominating, but you can always here them. It's still metal with lots of guitars and eventhough he uses acoustic ones aswell It's still more metal then anything else. I rule this album as one of my favourites right now, but I have noticed that if I listen to it too often it gets boring, so I don't play it as often anymore. Another sad thing is the shitty layout with computer printed pictures (you can see the pixels!) and low budget cover. But as I said before, the music rules!
I have heard that this is a solo project from Iceland, but all the adresses are to Germany so I can't verify that.
