Entombed
Left Hand Path
This was a new trend setter within the death metal genre and lots of bands
popped out literally out of no where with pretty much the same sound the
years that followed. It’s a intense, fast and with a new rawer sound then
the usual stuff that where out then, but the vocals are what most D.M.
bands sounds like so it’s no big deal.. That however is about it.
Eventhough the production and performance by far beats must others at this
time it’s a boring album. Only the first song is really any good at all
(it’s very good). Many songs starts with a good riff but then just falls
flat. I got two bonus tracks on my CD but they’re nothing to cheer about,
they just make your suffering through the album even longer. The second of
the two has very odd vocals but is just as boring as the rest of the
album.

Now this is more like it! Very good songs and better production. A new
vocalist with better vocals also makes it a fresher sounding release. The
music is even more brutal and manhandling then before and much better.
This is among the most brutal music I’ve heard, in competition with
Hypocrisy’s "Osculum Obscenum". If you’re gonna buy just one D.M. album in
your life, then I suggest that you’ll take this one. It has everything a
D.M. album can possibly dream of.

Stranger Aeons MCD
Only the first title track is any good but then again, it’s their best
ever. That song is however also available on the CD above so you don’t
have to buy this. The two other tracks sounds as old ”Left Hand Path”
songs that’s been re-recorded eventhough they are new. This release is
only 8 min. long so it’s just waste of good money.

Hollowman EP:
Oh no! Back to the old vocalist, but that’s really not the problem… The
material is still pretty good but the style is way out of hand. I wouldn’t
call this death metal at all, perhaps death metal influenced hard core
punk or something like that. It’s much slower and ”heavier” then before,
at this level it’s acceptable but you’ll just listen to Wolverine Blues
and hear what it becomes. With this release you should have become
superstitious about the future. This album is 22 min. long and about 3 out
of 6 songs are pretty good.

Wolverine Blues

Why does the press say it’s phenomenal when it stinks? And how come some
so called fans say it’s their best? And why did I buy it before I’d heard
it? Fucking Hell this sucks! If I had been in America I would have sued
them for psychic suffering and abuse. This is in about the same style as
the Hollowman EP. but now the material sucks too. By the way… the
production is good.

Night of the Vampire
split with New Bomb Turks
A cover of an old punk song… It sucks (I haven’t heard New bomb Turks but
it’s a punk band) Let us be free from crap like this in the future!
