Empyrium
A Wintersunset
This is also extremely symphonic metal (?) band that originated from two
guys in germany. I don't know what category to put this in really. It
starts with a medieval sounding intro and then it is a keyboard dominating
musical style based on sad and beautiful feelings. There are some electric
guitars and even some grim vocals so I didn't want to fit this under the
sign on non-metal. But mostly it's violin and flute sounding keyboards
that stands for the musical experience. The vocals are mostly much like
the newer Moonspell - very dark but clean and normal. I must say that this
is brilliant stuff with great melodies and I think that you who like sad
and beautiful non-metal also likes this. There are some elements of more
brutal music too, but it's nothing I can't accept. I will again point out
that this by no means is black metal at all, as you might have read
somewhere, still I think it's something most of you will like and enjoy. I
must say it grows each time I hear it. Anyone who's heard their exellent
Demo "...der wie ein Blitz vom Himmel fiel..." knows what to expect. Oh
yeah did I forget to mention that the production is very good?

Songs of Moors & Misty Fields
It seems that the boyz learned a lot from their first recording. This is
way more proffesional and has very good production. The music is still the
same type of extremely symphonic metal with nice and slow melodies. Sad
and beautyful music to relax to. There are still some grimm vocals that
breakes with the atmosphere and i still think that it would problebly be
better without them although it’s not as bad as on the debut. The material
isn’t as superb as on the debut, but it’s still brilliant stuff. The only
band that sounds anything like this must be "In the Woods" and if you like
this or the debut, you should like their "Omnio" and vice versa.
