December Moon
Source of Origin
Original intro on th first song with trumpet sounding keyboards in a
almost viking kinda way. The first that strikes me when the music starts
is the very hard metallic sound of the drums. It sounds almost fake, and
they easily become annoying in the long run. The music is symphonic B.M.
in mid tempo with faster parts and lots of great riffs accompanied by
great keyboardwork. The vocals are good grimm ones and fits the music
well. This British 2-pice features a member of the more famous Cradle of
Filth, but this is very far from their Vampire metal style. This is very
keyboard based music that's not very evil at all. It's still very good
stuff, but the use keyboards are hardly original anymore, if you don't do
it as much as these guy's do. I must say that this album becomes better
and better all the time, so I might have to change this review later.
The production is OK, but nothing special, still, this is one of the
better albums I've bought more recently and I do recommend it. This would
surely have been a 5/5 with a better production and without that boring
drum sound. And the silent outro is stupid...
