A little faster then the Hellhammer stuff they did under their earlier name, and much more deathy. It seems like several modern death metal bands like Obituary are heavy influenced by this. This I must say is much better though. Celtic Frost/Hellhammer must have been the first death metal band (although some people call Hellhammer black metal, it sounds more like traditional death metal). They still have somewhat trashy riffs, but they sound more deathy then before. Over all is this a medioker death metal album, but considering it being several years before the big wave that came, it is a very good release. This EP. was the first thing released by Celtic Frost so it's still very much Hellhammer spirit in it. The later albums (after 1987 or so) are just boring almost glam metal like. In the middle of the album is a keyboard track that's very sick, almost like Aghast. It's very disturbing and give you the creeps while trying to sleep. Over all is this a nice album, one of the fine milestones in extreme music.
