Cannibal Corpse

Hammer Smashed Face EP.

Gore death metal in the extremest way with incredibly dark and unhearable growling vocals. I haven’t heard their earlier albums nor the newest one but this is very extreme. The first of five songs is pretty good and fits among the 3 best of the stuff I heard by them. The 3rd track is Cannibal Corpse’s version of Black Sabbath’s ”Zero the Hero” which is nice. The second track is also a cover version but I don’t know whom have done the original. Musically it’s a average album but the vocals are very boring as usual.

The Bleeding

I don’t really know why I bought this album. I didn’t really like Hammer Smashed Face but I probably had a dry week. This album sounds a bit fresher then the EP. with better production and so on. The vocals are both just as growling boring as usual but also very sharp and high almost grim sounding. The material is much better then on the EP. as well. It opens up with a good song and then the 3rd and the 8th tracks are very good, the last one being the title track and the best they’ve done. The rest of the songs are boring in the long run eventhough there is a few good riffs.
