Karelian Ishtmus

Great intro with acoustic guitar and keyboards. Pretty heavy death metal with good riffs and a dark growling vocals that's better then most others. The production is good for a first release but not perfect. This is a promising band, well performed and a original style a bit in the doom direction with some nice keyboards here and there.

Tales from a 1000 Lakes

This one also starts with a great intro but with keyboards only this time. The music is more original and "rockier" death metal with doom influences. Very well performed and world class production. There's more keyboard work and a stronger folkmusical tone to the music then before and it really gives their music an own identity. The vocals are still the same but now they are fitted better to the music, there's also a few segments of normal vocals - a preview of what’s to come perhaps?

Black Winter Day EP.

One old song from 1000 lakes, one new short piano song that's very good and two new songs in the same style as before which are also very good. This however is in total only 14 min. - a very expensive release.

Elegy

Much like 1000 lakes but with much more folkmusical influences and more normal vocals. In normal cases that sucks but here it actually brings out the music better just as it did on 1000 lakes. The production is one of the best I ever heard and the material is very god too. You will also hear a typical Finnish "humpa" (sort of a type of tango) in the middle of one song, cool but can be irritating in the long run.
